board
Bourke Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (BACHS) is a community based not-for-profit Aboriginal Corporation.
BACHS is registered with the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC) under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006.
BACHS is a community-controlled health service (ACCHS). As a community control service, our People can determine the nature of the services provided, as well as participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of those services.
Members elect a Board of Directors who on behalf of all members, make decisions about the affairs, direction, and business of BACHS and what its employees are doing.
Members can nominate or be nominated as Board Director. Members then vote for the nominees that they want as Board Director’s from its membership.
